Scarlett Gets Hitched!

A glittering three-carat diamond ring was the only evidence of Hollywood screen queen, Scarlett Johansson’s plans to marry hunky actor, Ryan Reynolds. Rarely have we spotted the two together - the pair takes great pains to keep their relationship out of the press. A tall order these days.

It comes as no surprise, then, that the Associated Press reports the happy couple secretly tied the knot this weekend. The two reportedly wed in an intimate ceremony outside Vancouver, British Columbia in Reynolds's native Canada on Saturday. According to Us Weekly, the wedding took place at a gorgeous resort, and guests included Scarlett's mother Melanie Sloan, and her brother Adrian Johansson.

The couple began dating in February 2007 and announced their engagement in May 2008. Johansson’s icey diamond rock made a stunning debut soon after at the Met Costume Ball, where she was escorted by none other than fashion kings, Dolce and Gabbana.

Men everywhere are sure to go through a period of mourning now that the gorgeous A-lister is officially off the market. Not the least of which is director, Woody Allen, who makes no apologies for worshipping the ground she walks on. Then again, he’s never been one to follow the rules when it comes to infatuation.

Scarlett and Penelope: Two Glittering Stars. Too Much Beauty.

Diamonds, sapphires, gold, gowns, Scarlett, Penelope…is there such a thing as too much beauty? The red carpet literally beamed this week at the LA premiere of Woody Allen’s latest film, Vicky Christina Barcelona, as the two gorgeous A-listers gave photogs the answer to their collective dreams. You gotta hand it to Woody – he sure knows how to pick ‘em. The film, shot in (you guessed it) Barcelona, is one of a few Woody Allen flicks to be filmed outside of his native New York, and Oscar is already buzzing.

The ladies dazzled in a picture of contrasts. Scarlett in a long, red Monique Lhuillier gown and a Sonia Boyahian statement necklace that sparkled in a series of gold chains and lockets. (Ms. Boyahian is a friend of the star’s, who also designed her engagement ring to hunky actor, Ryan Reynolds. We’ll be keeping our eye on her). Penelope’s long, dark locks were perfectly complemented by a classic, black Herve Leroux gown and Chopard diamond and sapphire gems.

As if there wasn’t enough eye candy, Ms. Cruz’s current love interest, Oscar-winner and dreamboat, Javier Bardem is ALSO in the cast. Oi! It’s just too much. The press was prohibited from asking them about their relationship on the junket, but the Jewelry Insider hears that wedding bells are in their future. Maybe they can do a double ceremony with Scarlett and Ryan? We mere mortals can only take so much.
